A must during Breeding

One of the pairs in our flocks had babies this year. The mama bird was plucking daddy bird because he wasn't feeding her enough while she was sitting on the eggs. The green cheek breeding group suggested moist food for the daddy bird. It worked! Mama stopped plucking daddy once he started eating Bird St Bistro again. We've been feeding it twice a day, a fruit mix in the am and veggie mix at dinner time with fresh chop at lunch. The baby birds became mostly weaned at 4-5 weeks eating this also.

My monk parakeet loves all of the mixes. She doesn’t want her seeds anymore. To stretch it I add oatmeal or other grains, she loves barley. But this is a fantastic base. It’s not inexpensive. But so very good for her.
